The First Judicial District Court of Pennsylvania recently granted a motion which had been filed that requested that Xarelto lawsuits be consolidated into a mass tort litigation.

The lawsuits contend that Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen Pharmaceuticals unit and Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals failed to instruct Xarelto users to regularly monitor their blood levels to determine bleeding risk and adjust dosage when necessary. Failing to do so could lead to uncontrollable bleeding even after one dose. Internal bleeding caused by Xarelto is not reversible, as there is no designated antidote for the drug. Patients have bled to death as a result of unstoppable Xarelto bleeding.

If you required an extended hospital stay or lost a loved one due to uncontrollable internal bleeding caused by Xarelto, you may be eligible to file a Xarelto lawsuit to get justice. The Philadelphia personal injury lawyers at Anapol Schwartz are pursuing these claims.

Philadelphia Xarelto lawyers Greg Spizer and Miriam Barish are ready to advocate on your behalf and hold the manufacturers responsible.  Greg co-chairs the firm’s mass tort department. He currently serves as Co-Counsel in the Mirena Litigation in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Bergen County, and he was recently appointed to the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee in the multidistrict litigation titled In re: Testosterone Replacement Therapy Products Liability Multidistrict Litigation in the Northern District of Illinois. Miriam was named among the Top 50 Women Lawyers in Pennsylvania in the 2014 edition of Super Lawyers.

“The real world consequences of any drug must be clearly communicated to the patients” Spizer said in a press release.
